I don't regret having paid for the Android and iOS versions of this app. I think they are brilliant and worth the money I have spent. I'm also not opposed to you making it a free app and offering additional features as a subscription (although I much preferred your original business model). I do hope though, that you won't forget that you have a lot of users who paid for this app and supported your work to get a great and ad-free podcast player. I'd be very sad if you decide to start running ads to all the people who have paid for it in the free version later on.

I love this app, it does exactly what I expect from a podcast player, it is very stable and features like skipping pauses are very handy. Cranking up the speed works lovely, too. Update 2023-09-28: The 400% price hike made me cancel my sub. I was offered a 50% deal today, but reading the many negative reviews here prevents me from renewing. I will just continue to use Spotify for the podcasts. I hope they get the app on its feet again. It is sad when something nice goes down the drain.

There were some issues with the 7.46 versions of the app, however, we've since released version 7.47, which addresses the issues that others have experienced. If you'd like to continue using Pocket Casts at the grandfathered pricing, please reach out to us through the app by navigating to Profile > Settings > Help & Feedback > Get in touch.

I've used this app for years and have liked it a lot, but lately it's been glitching more and more. It marked unplayed a bunch of episodes from my most heavy rotation podcasts, so I have no idea which episodes I've already heard. More seriously, it recently stopped being able to find the episode notes from most of my podcasts older than a couple months, making them unsearchable as well as not displaying the notes. Hope these issues are resolved.

Hi, Saya! The behaviors you describe sound like sync issues. Can you please reach out to us so we can investigate these further for you? https://support.pocketcasts.com/knowledge-base/ads-in-episodes/
