Slow and confusing. It takes ages to "connect" to the device even though the device is already connected via Bluetooth. The navigation if the app is just poorly designed. It was never the best but some time ago they put everything behind another layer... Also, activating eq with no slider changed, totally changes the sound. Don't know if that's because of some DSP the sound gets passed through, but it makes the EQ basically useless.

The app got a bit better after the late 2024 rebranding, but still the same problem: I search for "Sony" and find nothing. Now it's named "Sound Connect" with an even less useful icon. And of course, as bad projects do, it treats user data without any care at all. You got a brand new app. Rejoice! Yeah I would have liked it if it didn't lose data (settings made before) and if it didn't happen out of the blue. But that's how you treat customers. Oh and no firmware updates for XM4. Of course not.

Haven't had any problems with this app, using it with the WF-C700N. I especially like the option to connect the headphones to two devices at once, as well as the many equaliser presets. There are two improvements I'd like to see: first, the ability to rename the device in the app, and second, a way to directly compare two equaliser settings without having to scroll through the entire list. Overall, really good though!
