About this app
The EU Login app is developed by the European Commission to facilitate your day-to-day Multi-factor authentication for many EU applications. Once you have registered your device with your EU Login account, authentication can be done with your PIN code or using the face recognition or fingerprint. You can also use it to access EU Login protected applications via your mobile browser.

Horrible app. After scanning the QR code, there is an error that no GCM negotiation was possible. Retrying several times leads to sometimes the same error, sometimes another one ("failed to acquire registration ID"). The PIN entry form has no confirmation button, so when you need to try again, you are never sure what to do. That's UX 101... There are tons of proper authenticator apps out there, so why on earth did EC decide to build their own incompatible, buggy, and unusable one?!

Terrible user experience. In any given website you have to put your username and password then select the correct drop down option from the list once you have done all that then you get a message in the EU login app. There is no notification you have to manually find and launch the app. Then you have to click on pending notifications, then click on the notification, then use your fingerprint and finally click close manually. Worst 2FA experience by far!

It is a drama! I am sorry to inform you that the app is complicated and totally impossible to use. Could we consider the EU able to develop the best service? At the moment, the app seems to be built so as it is not to be used. I hope that my information, will move someone to adjust quickly the situation.
